Pink tulips – a lovely spring bouquet

I bought new tulips for the weekend, but since they are still in bud, I decided to post pictures of the previous tulip bouquet 🌷. Tulips generally last about two weeks at home – because I store tulips overnight in the refrigerator. It is interesting to watch how the tulip changes its shape and colour in the vase. At first, they are really bud-like and tight, then they start to open, and every day they look a little different from the previous day – so I have to take another picture because now it looks prettier than yesterday ☺️ Here are pictures of the pink tulip bouquet I bought for Valentine’s Day.

Pink tulips

This pink tulip bouquet consists of four different pink tulip varieties: frilly edged tulips, double tulips, single tulips, and parrot tulips. Pink tulips are almost my favourite colour in tulips, although I often buy different colours during the season. And if I had to choose a favourite among these, it would almost be this frilly-edged pink tulip.

This vase is otherwise my favourite for tulips. It is the ‘Fauna’ bowl designed by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajärvi glassworks. It is large enough for 30-40 tulips. I bought it second-hand.
